"Some experiences are too much for words": Lena Dunham interviews Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton and Lena Dunham have a chat.

Lena Dunham has managed to wrangle an interview with US president-to-be (well, who are the alternatives? Trump?) Hillary Clinton and she used the opportunity to ask the big questions.

Between Girls and her new newsletter with her Girls colleague Jenni Konner, Lenny Letter, Dunham is a busy gal.

And she’s scored a massive coup for Lenny Letter’s first official release when Clinton agreed to sit down with her for a chat.

Watch the clip below. Post continues after video.

“Do you consider yourself a feminist?” is the first question Dunham asks in the minute-long teaser clip.

“Yes, absolutely,” says Clinton.

She goes on:

“I’m always a little bit puzzled when any woman of whatever age, but particularly a young woman, says something like, ‘Well, I believe in equal rights but I’m not a feminist.’ Well, a feminist is by definition someone who believes in equal rights. I’m hoping that people will not be afraid to say, that doesn’t mean you hate men, it doesn’t you want to separate out the world, so you’re not a part of ordinary life – that’s not what it means at all! It just means that we believe that women have the same rights as men.”

The two also discuss other issues including women’s health and student debt in the full interview, which will be released on September 29.

Clinton’s communications aide Kristina Schake told Politico that Clinton was compelled to speak to Dunham because of her feminist credentials.

“Hillary was drawn to Lena’s unique voice, dynamic talent and strong commitment to women’s rights. Hillary and Lena had a strong connection, which comes through in this intimate, engaging interview.”

According to Politico, the segment also includes comedy sketches and a cameo by Amy Schumer. Colour me intrigued!
