Australian Survivor's Jennah-Louise answers the hair removal question that left viewers puzzled.

Life on Australian Survivor means forgoing many of the comforts of every day life: three square meals a day, a proper bed and a good night’s rest.

It also means there’s little to no access to proper sanitary products, or things like soap, shampoo and conditioner.

And yep, even razors aren’t accessible to the contestants.

For many women on the show who aren't used to embracing body hair, not being able to shave while competing on the show is a problem they have to get over fairly quickly.

"You just have no control over it, so you've just go to let it go," the recently eliminated Jennah-Louise told Mamamia.

"I found it funny because when we were winning challenges at the start, I was throwing my hands up in the air and having a good time! Then, my underarm hair started growing more and I started not [doing that] anymore," she said.

"I just thought, 'It's guaranteed someone is going to make a meme out of this and I don't want it to be me!'"

Of course, some Survivor contestants came prepared, and sought out laser hair removal treatments before the show to avoid the problem.

"I thought, 'Gosh I should have prepared for this!'" Jennah-Louise confessed.

But, she revealed, it was all part of what made the experience so worthwhile.

"That’s the fun part about Survivor, you become this person that you’re not necessarily in real life."

The fan-favourite believed she "really blossomed" in the harsh living conditions on the island.

"I really enjoyed living outdoors. I loved it," she said.

"Coming back to the real world, living a busy life, being surrounded by bad food and all the rest, that’s been the most challenging thing. I'm trying to maintain that healthy lifestyle."

This would take literally two days for me. I'm always amazed by women who can go several days without shaving and all they have is stubble. If I shave in the morning, I have stubble that night.
