Sam Picart won Ellen's dance-off. And for good reason.

Ellen DeGeneres loves a good ol’ surprise and today a deserving dance instructor from Seattle was the lucky focus of her energies.

Sam Picart – who teaches kids hip-hop – was pretty happy to discover he was the winner of Ellen’s online dance-off and showed off his ample talent.

Before learning he’d won the competition, he told Ellen he’d “already won” because he got to see her. Smooth. (Picking up a cool $10,000 to help with his student loans was an added bonus then.)
