I’m pregnant so clearly the answer for me is wee. But according to countless studies (including this one by Oxygen Media and Lightspeed Research) about one third of women aged 18-35 check Facebook as soon as they wake up. Even before they wee.
Meanwhile one of my old flatmates had the morning ritual of reciting affirmations to herself as soon as she woke up.
Yet another former flatmate (I’ve had few over the years) would always feed her goldfish – Elizabeth – before she did anything else. Nice.
So what’s the first thing you do when you wake up? Kiss your partner? Turn on the TV? log on to Mamamia?

Groan/Yawn like I'm being stabbed, try to beat hubby to the toilet, if I lose, put on the kettle for coffee.
Thank the Lord for ABC2 while I nurse my coffee.
I have a 2 1/2 month old so the first thing I do these days in arrange his bottle. Pre baby I would check Facebook :)
