A photographer has tracked down the couple whose proposal he captured and their story is adorable.

These days we’re pretty sure you can’t actually get engaged if its not captured on camera and uploaded to social media.

Luckily for one couple, photographer Matthew Dippel always has his camera in hand.

The Michigan man was getting ready to take a photo of a friend in Yosemite National Park in early October when he spotted a couple at a viewpoint called Taft Point and perfectly captured it as the man got down on one knee and proposed.

Dippel told ABC News he ran over to where they were and tried to find them, but after asking two dozen people was unable to track them down.

So, he turned to social media.

Dippel shared his (gorgeous) photo to Twitter and asked the internet to help him find the mystery couple. We know the internet loves a mystery (and a cute proposal) so it was no surprise that his post went viral.

In a twist, Dippel had actually captured Charlie’s second proposal. The first, in February, was in front of family and friends. In Yosemite Charlie presented Melissa with a Ring Pop to create a memorial proposal for “just the two of us.”

Awwww.

“Basically we went on a hike at Taft and I decided to surprise Melissa with a second proposal, for personal/meaningful reasons,” he told ABC News. “Since Melissa and I love to travel and hike and the outdoors I wanted to give her an epic proposal photo and that’s how it came about.”

Sharing Dippel’s photo to their own Instagram accounts, Charlie and Melissa thanked Dippel for his determination to track them down and said they appreciated all the love and congratulations they had received.

Melissa wrote that it was now time to begin the wedding planning – and we’d bet good money that Dippel will be on the invitation list.
