1. Oh. The Queen has given Prince William a new title a week after Prince Harry lost his.

In case we needed any more proof there is a right royal rift at the moment, the Queen has announced her grandson Prince William has a new role, a week after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were stripped of theirs.
On Sunday, Kensington Palace announced that Prince William was appointed by the Queen as Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland for this year.
OK, there’s really not much to these rumours, but here we go.
According to the Daily Telegraph‘s Sunday Confidential, Today show co-host Karl Stefanovic and fashion designer Jasmine Yarbrough are having a baby girl.
The couple, who got married in Mexico in December 2018, reportedly held a gender reveal party for close family and friends at Melbourne’s Crown Casino on Friday night, the publication said.
In December last year, Karl confirmed previous rumours surrounding their pregnancy, sharing a photo of himself topless on the beach with the caption “After a great deal of speculation… the rumours are true,” alongside a baby emoji.
That’s really all we know about this particular rumour.
Neither Karl nor Jasmine have confirmed the gender of their unborn baby due in 2020.
3. Nick Kyrgios’ opponent at the AO last night appeared to be Liam Hemsworth’s doppelgänger.
On Saturday night, Aussie tennis player Nick Kyrgios made it through to the fourth round of the Australian Open, beating his Russian opponent Karen Khachanov in a mammoth four-and-a-half-hour match.
The tennis was great, as was Kyrgios’ attitude, but there’s one very important observation that needs to be said.
Because Khachanov looks a lot like Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth, no?
Fans watching the match at home asked the question on Twitter, wondering if Khachanov was a long-lost Hemsworth brother, or if it was, in fact, Liam hitting the backhands on the court.
In August 2019, Brandon announced the impending arrival with his then-girlfriend.
Mentioning his ex-wife Leah Felder and their four-year-old daughter, Eva, he told People: “Leah, Cayley and I sat down with her [Eva] and told her what was happening, and she was very excited and happy. She’s super excited to be a big sister.”
He went on to explain that his post-divorce relationship with Leah is as amicable as can be.
“Leah and I split up in a really beautiful way, and I think we handled it in the best way possible,” he said. “It was a process, and it took some time to finalise. And now that Leah and I have moved on, I am starting a family with Cayley, and I’m so happy about it.”
After six years of marriage, Leah and Brandon split in September 2018.

5. “We want our child to feel included”: Jesinta Franklin on why she won’t celebrate January 26.
Today, on January 26, Jesinta Franklin is among many who are not celebrating Australia Day.
Instead, the model and TV presenter is using her profile to champion changing the date to one that doesn’t represent deep sorrow and pain for Indigenous Australians.
In a column for Stellar magazine, the 28-year-old writes about what January 26 means to her family – herself, her husband, AFL footballer and proud Noongar man Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, and their unborn child due in 2020.
“For my husband and his family, January 26 marks the beginning of a dark time in history for their people, a period that still, all these years later, recalls injustice, loss and generations of pain and hurt,” the former Miss Universe Australia says.
“Even though I had a deep respect and what I thought was a good understanding of our Indigenous history through my time at school… it wasn’t until I listened to the pain endured from someone close to me that I began to deeply feel the importance of changing the date.”
Jesinta also touches on the “raw and deeply painful” conversations with Buddy’s family that have helped her understand what it was, and still is, like for First Nations people to be treated as less than human on land that was once, and always will be, theirs.

You do realise you're just fuelling the baseless rumours of a "rift" and rivalry within the BRF by writing these articles, yes? The fact that William is being promoted in his job - in the context of him being the future King of England - has nothing to do with the direction in which Harry and Meghan have chosen to take their lives. They chose to walk away. Meanwhile, William continues on in his role, so of course he's going to be awarded duties and titles.

What a load of crap. It's not "proof" of any kind of rift. William is in direct line for the throne. It is to be expected that his 93 year old grandmother outsource some of the duties - that come with titles - to him as his role in the family increases. It's nothing to do with Harry. The royal family is not obliged to sit paralyzed, in a state of respectful mourning until it's considered appropriate that they just get on with business.
