Carrie Bickmore just delivered a harsh message to Pink fans on The Project. And... burn.

This week Pink cancelled three of her Sydney shows.

The What About Us singer was admitted to hospital while suffering from a gastric virus over the weekend.

While most fans have been understanding of her situation, some have vented their frustration on social media.

Some fans became upset that they were only told Monday’s show was cancelled an hour before it was due to begin.

Speaking on The Project on Tuesday night, Carrie Bickmore defended the mum-of-two’s decision.

“What do fans want, to go and have her be sick over them. I don’t think she’s like ‘I really want gastro’,” she said to her fellow panelists.

“It’s not ideal, it’s not what she wants,” she continued.

“Given how many shows she’s done in Australia, thousands, she loves our country, don’t make her hate coming here because we get sad when she’s got the poos.”

Last time she was here she was hoisted up into the air when she was in the early stages of her pregnancy and broke records with the amount of shows she did, give the poor woman a break! Without her health, we don’t get to see her at all.

I haven't seen the posts Carrie is referring to but I wonder are they angry at Pink herself for being sick or are they angry at the promoters/the general situation?

I was disappointed when Amy Schumer's show was cancelled and I didn't get to go. But it was cancelled with plenty of notice. Some people going to Pink found out at 5pm, with doors opening at 6.30. There's no way promoters didn't know she was unwell before then. I'd be angry too, in their situation. Not at Pink, because I know she's not the one in charge of getting that info out, particularly seeing she's as sick as she is. But I'd be angry at the promoters for sure.

That's what I thought (see my reply to Rush's comment below). Gastro isn't something you go "we'll wait until show time and hopefully its cleared up" with.
