Clear your schedule. Now. We finally know the premiere date for Gilmore Girls.

The familiar sound of guitar strumming. The familiar sight of Stars Hollow rooftops. Luke’s Diner. The gazebo in the square. It can only mean one thing. Yes, boys and girls, Gilmore Girls is back.

And now – finally – we know when.

Netflix has finally revealed the premiere date for the highly anticipated revival after it was yanked from the small screen in 2007. Ready? Got your calendar open? Good.

Go ahead and clear your schedule on November 25. That’s the date your favourite fast-talking, coffee-chugging, mother-daughter duo will stumble back into your life.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will be released in four 90-minute installments, titled Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall (see what they did there?), with stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Melissa McCarthy, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena all reprising their roles.

The premiere announcement came with the above video, which shows Lorelai and Rory sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of joe, asking the big questions.

Like, “Do you think Amy Schumer would like me?”

And, “Do you think John Oliver would find me hot?”

Over on The Binge, we are super excited about Gilmore Girls coming back, here’s why

(Both Lorelai, of course.)

The celeb references might have been updated, but it seems not much has changed. And we couldn’t be happier.

Speaking at the launch announcement in Hollywood overnight, the woman you know as Lorelai, Lauren Graham, offered her guess as to why the show, which first aired in 2001, has managed to stand the test of time.

“[It is] extremely comforting in a world that is lacking comfort,” she said, according to Fox News. “It’s so smart and so well written.”

As for returning to life in Stars Hollow, the 49-year-old actress said the whole cast felt like they’d never even left.

“It was literally like no time had passed … It was joyous,” she said. “It was exhilarating; it was the old show.”

Oh WAIT! I just realised - is that only via the US Netflix?
Please can you please look into and confirm the Netflix Au date we can access it?

It should be the same in Australia - all other release dates are (OITNB, to name one big example).

Thanks lau. I ended up going to the Netflix website & live chatting with an employee. I think he was US-based. Anyway, he confirmed it is a worldwide release date.

I'm really hoping the wedding is Lorelai's - I'm not even fussed to whom (as long as he's the right guy for her).
True love and 'the whole deal' was always something she hoped and strove for all while pursuing all her other goals, business, parenting etc.
She was previously let down by Max (the principal at Chilton) then Christopher (Rory's dad) and then hers and Luke's relationship had many - deliberate - plot interruptions (like his daughter etc).
She deserves it and I'd love to see her walk down the aisle finally.

Max wasn't the principal and he didn't 'let her down' she decided to break off their engagement because she was more interested in both Christopher and Luke. Luke was clearly painted as "the one" throughout the show's run so I would be very surprised if they suddenly created a new character for her to be with. Rory, on the other hand, should definitely get a new, likeable boyfriend.

I know Logan and his father and friends are all in the revival cast so they're s lot of speculation about her and him.
I agree she needs a new guy personally I have a recently developed theory. It was a light-bulb moment...
What if Alexis' Bledel's real life husband, actor Vincent Kartheiser, played her new love interest (and 'the one')? I think that's be an amazing casting decision. Would love to see that.
