Rugby star Mitchell Pearce was allegedly caught on film simulating a lewd act with a dog.

Rugby league star Mitchell Pearce has reportedly been filmed simulating a lewd act on a dog in what has been labelled a potentially career-ending scandal.

The Sydney Roosters premiership captain allegedly made advances towards a woman, who rejected him, and then urinated on himself at an Australia Day house party, Yahoo7 reports.

The video, which was reportedly offered to various media organisations and aired on on A Current Affair tonight, shows the 26-year-old picking up a small dog and simulating a lewd sex act on the animal.

In the video, Pearce says: “I’ll **** that dog, I don’t give a ****. I don’t have a sexuality… I don’t have a sexuality.”

A woman tells the Origin player the dog is off limits and asks him to stop.

She then takes the dog off him and tells Pearce – who she questions about urinating on her couch – to get out of her house.

The rugby team had been on a Sydney Harbour boat cruise earlier that day.

The alleged incident has been likened to Cronulla Shark Tod Carney’s career-ending ‘bubbler’ incident in 2014, where he was photographed urinating into his own mouth.

The Roosters have said they are aware of the incident and have referred it to the NRL’s Integrity Unit.

I simply don't understand why NRL players aren't put on a no-alcohol ban while playing professionally. One strike and you're out. They're young men in a position of prominence with excessive disposable income and clearly a lot of them cannot handle it. The NRL needs to manage this better.

Because the NRL is run by a boys club. Mitchell Pearce's father is on the committee who has to deal with this case.

The problem started a long time ago. It was basically an amateur competition, that was suddenly infused with a load of cash, but the professionalism required to run a national competition never came with it.

Bunch of overpaid animals really, they're a disgrace to themselves, their clubs and all players, club workers, fans and volunteers who are truly invested in the sport. What an example to set for the little kids who watch or play.

I just have to ask... Would so many people be so willing to defend him if it had been Nick Kyrgios?
