Marie Curie, Dr Elizabeth Blackwell and Dr Elizabeth Anderson (the first female doctors in the US and UK respectively), Queen Isabella of Castille and Virginia Woolf would all be on my list.

I think I could be distantly related to Elizabeth the First but I do not care for this much because she killed a lot of people :(.

Oh Louise, Queenie was awesome! Things were a bit more brutal back then, don't forget.
She also had people plotting against her (you know, for being silly enough to be born female) plus the Spaniards and all sorts to deal with.
Watch any of the movies about her, she rocked. Oh, and get hold of Blackadder the Second - that is set in Queenie's court. ;))

Won't let me edit to add:

PS Related to Queenie? That means related to either the Boleyns or Henry VIII! Wow! How are you related???

They were brutal times. It alwyas amazes me when people go on about how violent our society is now, but it's probably the LEAST violent it's ever been!

No idea why anyone would've wanted to be part of the Tudor court, though. Someone only has to start a rumour about you and "Off with her head!" or you get burnt at the stake.
