FLUFF: Ooh, who's nominated for a Logie this year?

The nominees for the most prestigious award ceremony in Australia have been announced.

Yep, we mean the Logies. Television’s Night of Nights. Our very own mini Oscars.

Pretty much everyone you’d hope to see on this list os nominees is there… Asher Keddie for Offspring, Carrie Bickmore for The Project, Chris Lilley for Ja’mie: Private School Girl.

But in a massive twist this year, Hamish “Husband of Zoe” Blake is not up for a Gold Logie. Hamish, 32, has previously won the gold Logie in 2012 for his show Hamish & Andy’s Gap Year and was expected to win again for last year’s season.

I'm completely torn for who I'd like to win Gold: Andy or Essie. I've been an avid Hamish & Andy fan since their "The Almost Midday Show"/Channel 7 days in 2004 and think it's about time Andy gets recognised as Hamish has, but the ABC seriously needs to renew Miss Fisher's for a third season and for Essie (who has been in the industry for decades and deserves it in her own right) to win might send the message loud and clear.

But the people who vote for these things rarely have the same opinions as I do, and like Home & Away or The Block for my tastes. *hops down from soapbox* Each to their own.

The above shows just how poor quality Australian TV is - no gritty, intelligent dramas, all fluffy soapy drama and reality TV.
