Kelly Clarkson says she'll never ever co-sleep.

Her baby will never be in bed with her.

The forever running debate about co-sleeping continues, and Kelly Clarkson is the most recent celebrity to open up about her views on sleeping in the same bed as your baby.

The 32-year-old has flat out refused to ever get on the shared sleeping bandwagon.

“In my world, we’re sleeping. I don’t want my kid rolling over and hitting me in the face. That’s not good sleep,” she said in an interview with Radio Disney according to PEOPLE.

It was Clarkson’s response to a friend who told her, “‘Our kids are sleeping with us every night; it’s the whole new way of life,’ which is great for her,” Clarkson said in the interview.

The singer's daughter, River (nine months old) has been on music video sets, backstage at concerts and had some time spent in the studio, but it sounds like she'll never get to snuggle up next to mum at night.

Clarkson boasts that her first daughter, with husband Brandon Blackstock is a great sleeper - sleeping in her crib each night.

“She’s been in her own bed; she’s never slept with us ever...I’m just very adamant about that, even to create her independence and her own identity and to be safe in her own room," she said according to PEOPLE.

The first-time-mum is adamant to bring up a very independent child who isn't clingy and doesn't need to rely on people.

“She is the happiest baby on the planet, but when it’s nap time, bedtime, she’s like, ‘Put me down. I want to lay flat. I want to roll on my own,'" Clarkson said to PEOPLE.

The celebrity mum also told the publication that she hopes her daughter grows up to be anything but a performer. She said "I hope she's tone deaf."
