We knew Katy Perry and Russell Brand's divorce wasn't friendly, but...

Not even a divorce phone call? Nope.

There was a moment when Katy Perry – a singer with a penchant for wigs and a beef with  Taylor Swift – and Russell Brand – a reformed drug and sex addict/comedian – were the Posh and Becks of the 21st century. They posted bed selfies together. They had a big wedding. They were very, very in love.

See? In love.

That moment (their marriage) lasted approximately five seconds in 2011 before Russell decided to ask Katy for a divorce. Over text. Top bloke, that Russell Brand.

Flash forward four years later, and Katy Perry is still bitter about it. As you would be, because that’s a shitty, shitty thing to have happen to you.

Check out some more picture of Katy Perry and Russel Brand once upon a time…

And now Katy Perry says that she hasn’t heard from Brand since. Not ONCE since since he texted her to say ‘Yo, K-Pizzle. I want a divorce’. Just… nothing. Not even an ‘Um, Russ, don’t you wanna maybe think about this for a second? Have a divorce phone call? No?’.

Watch Katy Perry talk about their break up in a clip from her documentary, Part Of Me. Post continues after video.

Katy told The Daily Telegraph that she’ll let her songs speak for her. Classic.

“[Russell] hasn’t spoken to me since he texted me saying he was filing for divorce,” she said.

“I don’t want to talk about him – my songs will say what I need to say.”

Well, we guess that’s what happens when you communicate solely through lawyers.

Devastating celebrity breakups.

If you need some help believing in love again…

It’s official: There’s going to be a Wiggles wedding.

It took Amal 28 minutes to say yes to George Clooney’s proposal.

An engaged couple see each other at age 90. Are still madly in love.

What would be your immediate reaction if your partner asked for a divorce through text?

Wow. I could not cope with that. After a txt like that I would have to ring them back and then go and see them for closure and also to keep my side of the marriage vows.
