Congratulations are in order for Jessa Seewald (nee Duggar), who has welcomed her second son with husband Ben Seewald.
Sharing the news on their website, the couple happily announced their baby’s arrival.
“We are so happy to announce the arrival of our sweet second son,” they wrote.
“He was born at 4:26am this morning, weighing 8 lbs and 11 ounces and measuring 21 3/4 inches long. Mum and baby are both doing well.”
Jessa, 24, and Ben, 21 are already parents to one-year-old Spurgeon, announcing the news of their second pregnancy in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE magazine.
“We are overjoyed to announce that Spurgeon has a new title in life as ‘big brother!’ We are so thankful that God is adding to our family,” they said.
Jessa and Ben currently star in Counting On, a spin-off of the reality TV series that made the Duggar family famous, 19 Kids and Counting.
The show follows the lives of Jessa, her sisters Jill and Anna, and their growing families.

I swear that the name Spurgeon sounds like a type of mold. 'Ugh, I left a piece of cheese in the back of the refrigerator and when I found it the whole thing was covered in spurgeon!'
Yeah, I know why they chose it but unfortunately, the meaning the name has for them isn't going to make it any easier to live with. And you know, the writer/preacher had a perfectly nice first name they could have used. They could have even used Spurgeon in the middle, just to give the kid something more workable up front.
