Those memorable holidays overseas you will never forget...

By MAMAMIA TEAM.

What is it about the experience of overseas travel that makes for some damn memorable holidays and memories? Is it the romance of being so far from home? The experience of different cultures? Or the many amazing things you get to see?

In this episode of The Little Things That Are Big To You, our favourite Mamamia ladies share some of their most memorable holidays overseas. Em takes us to Paris for the trip that changed her life, Mia goes to Disneyland (and gets mercilessly mocked by the rest of the group) and Wendy and Kate both head to the US of A.

Take a look.

The Little Things That Are Big To You series is brought to you in partnership with our friends at Holiday Inn. Like us, they understand that in life – it’s often the little things that are the most memorable and important.

What was your favourite memorable holidays moment overseas?

At Holiday Inn we like to think that we help create great memories for the right reasons. Holiday Inn is constantly evolving to ensure that every aspect of your stay makes you feel relaxed and cared for. We know the little things are big to you.

That’s why kids always eat and stay free – just one of the small things we do to make a big difference to our guests. We also give you a choice of soft or firm pillows, and a refreshing, spacious shower experience.

Trekking through jungle in Uganda for hours to finally come across a large silverback gorilla. I crouched down about 10 metres away and watched him eyeballing our small group. He then got up and led us through the forest to his group of females and babies who were frollicking around being gorgeous. The smell was intense, the mood elated and privileged. If ever I have had a spiritual experience, this was it.

Not a specific, but taking the kids across Russia for 3 months was bloody brilliant.
