It's been a big week for Jennifer Lawrence.

1. Numero magazine has bronzed up a pale caucasian model for an African-inspired photo shoot.

Because why hire a black model, when you can paint a white one instead?

Sometimes, you have to wonder what goes on inside the heads of fashion magazine editors (you can get an idea by reading our post on former Vogue editor Kirstie Clements here).

As well as being completely tasteless, this image reflects the ignorance of real cultural diversity by many in the fashion industry. Gah.

2. And over at iVillage.com.au, we’re wading through the gossip so you don’t have to…

3. It’s been a big week for Jennifer Lawrence.

After her Oscars win, her dramatic trip up the stairs to claim it and (gasp!) a change of hair colour, it’s no wonder the 22-year-old Silver Linings Playbook star needed a bit of chill time.

J-Law (as she is now being dubbed) kicked back in Hawaii with a friend, a bottle of wine… and a thick rolled cigarette that looks a little like a marijuana joint.

Naughty.

3. Kristen Bell has flashed her bump while shopping in Los Angeles and it’s AMAZING. Check it out by clicking here.

4. Have you seen the “We Saw Your Junk” spoof of Seth Macfarlane’s infamous Oscars song “We Saw Your Boobs”? The man responsible says: “I figured if we’re going to objectify women, we sure as heck better objectify men too!” Take a look and tell us what you think.

5. Take a look at some of Myer’s Autumn/Winter Spring runway styles.

Myer launched its new-season styles in Melbourne last night. Brand ambassador Jennifer Hawkins and 37 models exhibited designs from over 20 designers, including Toni Maticevski, Karen Walker and sass and bide. The show was opened by Alexandra Agoston, a former model for Myer’s rival store, David Jones.

6. If you’ve ever felt domestically inadequate after seeing the perfectly folded sheets and towels in homewares stores, this image will make your day.

Popular retail chain Bed Bath and Beyond has been, well, lying about their extraterrestrial folding abilities. For years.

All those piles of flawlessly folded towels? LIES. And the proof is in this here photo. As you can see, their displays are actually assembled with the help of these blocks of shaped foam.

Forget Watergate – this is the biggest betrayal we’ve seen in years. We’re calling it now: This is towel-gate.

7. Guess which celeb has announced she will be eating her placenta after she gives birth? Plus, another star mum reveals she’s already swallowed hers. Click here to read more.

8. Women being spanked for buying the wrong coffee? These 1950s ads will make you cringe! See the gallery here.

9. Goat videos are taking over Facebook feeds worldwide. Are you confused? We’ve got your back.

For the uninitiated, these videos feature popular songs that have been mashed with audio from… goats. Clearly some people have a lot of time on their hands.

Click here for Em Rusciano’s more in-depth explanation of the viral trend on our radio show, Mamamia Today:

And for your viewing pleasure, here is a goat edition of Taylor Swift’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’.  The goat makes an entrance around the one minute mark. Happy Friday.

10. In this week’s Mamamia podcast, Mia and Jamila are discussing Perez Hilton’s baby announcement, Seth MacFarlane hosting the Oscars, childhood obesity and Kirstie Clements speaking out about what goes on in the world of high end fashion and modelling. Click here to listen.

11. We round-up the best Aussie gossip of the week here.

Towelgate only exists at Bed, bath and beyond. I managed an Adairs and we never used anything like that for our displays all our towels were folded by us. Its a simple thing we were shown and very easy for everyone to do once they know how.

Myer's been doing for at least the last 15 years too. Especially with the higher parts of the display. The lower were folded by hand by the casual (me when I worked there)

Towelgate, it might be at bed, bath and beyond but I used to manage an Adairs store and I can tell you there are no foam blocks for the towels. Although the foam blocks help with visual merchandising at adairs we learnt how to fold the towels in the same way everyone sees them displayed so in actual fact not all linen shops are 'lying' when it comes to there towel displays.
