Watch Ellen and John McCain, Republican candidate, clash on gay marriage.

Now that gay marriage is legal in California, Ellen de Generes announced last week that she was marrying her Aussie girlfriend Portia de Rossi. Congratulations to them both. And their puppy dog.

The man who could be the next President of the United States (please God no), Republican candidate John McCain is an oponent of gay marriage and when he went on Ellen’s show a couple days ago, Ellen challenged him on the subject.

Watch the fabulous interview between Ellen and John McCain below.

She’s bloody cool that woman. I’d marry her.

I have to comment just because I am so Horribly appalled at the constant attacking of Lu all while claiming forcing ones opinion on another is bad. In either case she is the child's mother; so allow her to teach him as she chooses. Anything outside of allowing her to be a mother would be you forcing your wishes on her; and the opposite of all that you say you believe in. I do not approve of homo-sexual marriages but I believe it is wrong for anyone to stand in the way of another human being from making a simple decision of who they want to live their lives with. Should it be legalized yes; do i approve of the marriage no; I am only a man and nothing more. For those that believe they have all the answers; why not fix the F-ed up economy and get the F off of others backs? Yes it is my first post but I felt someone needed to step in. Lu be a mom and love your kid; teach them when the time is right; when YOU say so.

Marriage is a Legal Contract between two consenting adults. PERIOD. Nothing more and nothing less.
Of course 'same sex' couples should be able to do anything 'heterosexual' couples should be allowed. MY GOD THIS IS AMERICA!
Time to remove the churches from the ability to marry couples. The state divorces, not the churches so only the state should legally marry any couple - the church as in most of the world, could bless the marriage in an unofficial ceremony. If the church wants couples, they will stand in no one's way - or they will lose parishioners.
