Lindsay Lohan's Saturday Night Live performance

Lindsay Lohan is back on TV. And this time it’s not the nightly news.  The 25-year-old hosted Saturday Night Live on the weekend – it was her so-called comeback performance – but her return was slammed by critics, especially those on Twitter, who criticised her for reading off cue cards and being generally unfunny.

We can’t show the clip because of SNL YouTube restrictions, but we can show you the show promo:

Poor Lindsay....why doesn't she quit Hollywood and go to a health retreat for about 10 years? The whole star lifestyle is clearly not for her,.she looks terrible and i think losing her mind. I agree with earlier comment about her parents being bad role models. Seems to me they pushed her into the limelight much too young for their own gain and look whats happened....
So sad.....i always just feel sorry for this girl.

Re: parents.
I watched her E! True Hollywood Story the other week. According to one of the interviewees who is close to her, when her father was in prison for the first time, so when she was 5 yrs old, she became the sole breadwinner of the family (because her mother's job was being her manager, thus relying on her having a career in showbiz). She has been in showbiz now for 22 of her 25 years.
Weekends were spent going to auditions, sometimes getting the job and sometimes not. Her mother would lie to the neighbours as to why they drove to Manhattan so often. She was afraid of coming across as a pushy stage mother (Oh, the irony). Don't get me wrong. There are many children in this world where the reason they are the sole breadwinner is much more complicated than a father being in jail and a pushy stage mother (such as poverty etc) and I'm not at all comparing this to those children at all.
When it comes to this situation, I find it hard to believe that a single parent who relies on their child for income would discipline their child in the same way they would if they weren't reliant on them.

And her father seems like a real piece of work. Virtually living off selling interviews to the press about his daughter. Scrambling to get to the nearest tv studio whenever his daughter is in trouble so he can sound-off on how Jesus needs to save her. Saying that him walking her down the aisle if she wishes to marry a woman "would never even cross her mind as a possiblity". Born-again religious people after prison really can be some of the most righteous wingnuts of all sometimes.

Anyone see the very first episode of Law and Order: Los Angeles? That was loosely based on Lindsay, her mother, and the 'Bling ring' scandal.

I find it strange that people were criticising her for reading the cue cards - I have watched multiple SNL skits where the cast read cue cards and make mistakes.

Case in point: http://crushable.com/entert...

I think we should appreciate the fact that shes trying and the weight of hollywood, and the worlds expectations are on her. Would she not have been nervous?!

the fact of the matter is the skits just weren't that funny.

Give her a break!
