It’s the end of the week. And Lauren really, really wants to humble brag to you all.
Welcome to Best and Worst where we share all the cool, crazy and crappy things that have happened to us this week.
I’ll go first.
I made a really great cake #humblebrag.
The fact that this is the BEST part of my week might be disappointing to some, but I was pretty stoked.
And for anyone who is wondering, it’s chocolate with a salted caramel and coconut frosting.
My colleagues and I devoured this bad boy during our Eurovision viewing party, which was another highlight for the week. We were each assigned a particular country for the evening and had to dress accordingly.
I was ‘France’ and yes, I did get a few suss looks on the bus for my Dali-esque moustache.
But in the costume stakes, the German duo were by far the winners with their Pitch Perfect 2 Das Sound Machine inspired pleather and mesh get ups.
Which leads me on to my ‘worst’ for the week…
I’m sorry, I’m actually not evenly slightly patriotic — but how did Guy Sebastian NOT win Eurovision?! He was by far the best performer with the best song.
It’s a travesty.
I also found out that Guy and his wife have stolen my future children’s names (Archie and Hudson). Not happy, Jan.

Also having my acupuncturist work magic on me and de stress me.
Worst: trying to conceive and having my period arrive yesterday. Onto the next month I guess.
Best: I am in beautiful sity at a conference.
Worst: I can not enjoy the beautiful city dues to said conference. Wish I could spend some time in the sun.
