Best and worst of the week. What's happening in your world?

by NATALIA HAWK

On the 5th of July this year, I took my boyfriend to the airport. He gave me a kiss and then got on a plane, which took him thousands of kilometres away. I haven’t seen him since. I haven’t been able to hug him, kiss him, drag him to terrible girly movies or make him buy me ice-cream for over two months now.

So that’s my worst. And it’ll stay my worst until I finally get to see him again, although – due to the nature of his job – I’m not even sure when that might be. It might be mid-October, it might be late October, it might even be November. Neither of us have answers – we only ever have questions.

Thankfully, the boy still finds a thousand ways to make me smile. I wandered out of my house in my usual early-morning daze on Thursday morning to find THIS blu-tacked to my car:

That simple sign made me smile like an idiot all the way to work. It was, by far, exactly the thing to make my week turn from mediocre to excellent.

So that was my best. And you all now have permission to call me “Jetski” (a nickname inspired by my ridiculous surname). Over to you!

What was your best and worst of the week?

PS. In case you missed what’s happening around the office and social media this week, you can catch up right now…

I love the RunKeeper app. You can download training programs, and it will also track your route (via GPS), time, pace, speed etc as well as your progress over time - you can set yourself goals etc. Its great!
