The Bachelorette's Georgia and Lee confirm happy news "we will get married."

They found love on The Bachelorette, and now Georgia Love and Lee Elliot have hinted that an engagement and a wedding will soon be on the cards.

Yes, this is possibly the most exciting news we’ve heard all week.

Speaking to Woman’s Day, Georgia said that she “definitely” wants to marry her 35-year-old Bachelorette beau.

"I can see us getting married, and we will," Lee added.

Clear your schedules, everyone, because we NEED to be free when this very important dates rolls around.

If Georgia and Lee were to become Mr. and Mrs. Love (because, he would totally take her surname, obviously) they would be the first couple from the Bachelor franchise to tie the knot.

(Assuming they hit the alter before Sam and Snez...giddy up!)

After it was revealed that Lee was Georgia's last man standing, he responded to rumours that the pair had already married.

"I can categorically say there is not a wedding ring on my finger," Lee told Mamamia, adding that if and when he was to marry Georgia, he would want to "do it right".

"Georgia and I have talked about this...I’m not just going to do things because society says at this age I should be married and I should have kids," he said.

So few of the American couples from these shows stay together that I really assumed that these were all just fake relationships but I must say I've been impressed with the success of these Aussie couples, most of them are still together. I would think if any were fake they would break up after a few months, so I do hope that this couple is genuine too and works out, particularly considering what Georgia is currently going through. Sad that she doesn't have time to just relax and enjoy her new found romance without this sad family issue, though I'm glad she has someone to help her through it.
Anyway I wish them the best of luck.

Yes, all are still together bar one (Blake and Sam/Louise).

I might cop some hate for this. Does anyone get the feeling that there's something about Lee that just isn't genuine? I find him just a little smarmy or contrived or something. I'm sure he is actually a lovely person and maybe it's just how we was perceived on the show? Matty J wore his heart on his sleeve so we became very invested in him where as Lee appeared to hold his cards close to his chest.

I didn't get that impression at all, Lee was my fave from the start. Though I did feel bad for Matty when he got rejected, not nice watching someone get hurt emotionally.

I get what you mean, I thought the same. Maybe we are just being manipulated by producers though, showing bits of Lee that make him seem less genuine.

Definitely. Word on the internet is Lee was quite the ladies man, with a string of conquests and broken hearted girls behind him. There's a reason he is 35 and unattached - a good looking guy like him definitely had his pick.

The difference is in their personalities, I guess. I was team Lee from the moment he stepped onto to the red carpet & picked him to win from there. They just clicked, you could see it. He was the first date, they have the same sense of humour, & he's just more mature than Matty - not to mention HOT! Matty always seemed younger than Georgia even though he is older. Georgia said herself about Lee that 'it's like we're the same person' & I knew for sure he had it in the bag then. I don't blame him for not being explicit with his feelings prior to Singapore because its national television & you need to protect yourself a bit (as poor Matty has discovered). When it was time, Lee said what he needed to say. And they seem incredibly happy. At the end of the day, the Bachelor or Bachelorette need to choose who makes them happy - not who makes us happy (sob *Nicky* sob)!
