US Bachelor star speaks for the first time about the alleged on-camera sexual assault.

Bachelor In Paradise star, Corinne Olympios has spoken for the first time since production was halted on the ABC show amid sexual assault claims involving fellow contestant, DeMario Jackson.

In a statement released to Fox News, the 24-year-old reality star who also featured as a contestant on the most recent series of The Bachelor described the alleged incident as her “worst nightmare”.

“I am a victim… Although I have little memory of that night, something bad obviously took place,” she said, as Warner Bros launches an internal investigation into the alleged sexual assault complaint filed by a production worker.

“As a woman, this is my worst nightmare and it has now become my reality.”

The statement comes as Olympios has reportedly hired a legal team to represent her over the alleged assault, which a producer claims took place while cameras rolled on a pool scene involving the two.

Multiple media outlets report Olympios may have been too intoxicated to consent to the alleged sexual activity.

According to TMZ, Jackson is calling for the video footage in question to be released, claiming it will prove his innocence.

It would be interesting to see the footage to form an opinion. By all accounts both were drinking heavily all day but there are varying accounts of whether she was an active participant or was borderline comatose as other reports suggest.
If both were extremely drunk but actively appearing to consent at the time I don't see why one should be charged and not the other. It's double standards to say one was unable to consent due to being drunk but the other was able to consent while being drunk.
If as some reports suggest she was paralytic then yes, it should have been obvious to him she was unable to consent and he was very much in the wrong.

I think it's very telling that it was a producer who made the complaint. The producer apparently felt corrine was too drunk and wanted to intervene, and was told to keep rolling. She then didn't turn up to work the next day and lodged her complaint. To me, that makes it clear that she was concerningly drunk and that they should have intervened. (I mean, they called an ambulance when Evan got dizzy last year, and took him to hospital!! Clearly in this case they felt this risk was worth the sexy ratings)

My sense is this is unlikely to turn into a criminal proceeding against the guy, and that it will instead be a civil suit against the production company for failing to keep corrine safe from harm.

I think probably both. They will aim to make an example of him and she will push for a civil suit.
Either way that footage will be the key.
