If you’ve ever found yourself watching porn and wondering if other women are doing it too, the answer is overwhelmingly yes.
According to two year’s worth of data collected by the world’s largest pornography site, Pornhub, women are not only watching their fair share of porn, but also showing significant preferential differences depending on which region they’re viewing it in.
Overwhelmingly, lesbian porn was found to be a global hit.
When broken down on a content basis, the data showed that while North and South Americans and Australians preferred lesbian porn, Africans favoured ebony porn, Asians were inclined to watch hentai (which is manga-style pornography) and Europe was a combination of lesbian and anal (the Russians really love bums)
On a country by country breakdown, the data showed that women in the UK and Canada love themselves some bondage (Justin Trudeau as Christian Grey, anyone?), whereas the French, Spanish and Italians are inclined to searching for mature porn, and fetish porn is the going favourite amongst women in Germany.
While Argentina and Brazil peaked at shemale, Russia was the only nation showing a preference for anal, as was the Netherlands with bondage. As for the oft-forgotton nation of Kazakhstan? A big dick is a big deal.
Locally, the data showed that Australia was the only nation with a primary preference of Asian porn amongst its female viewers, with upward of 76% of us watching it at some point in our viewings.
In addition to our global preferences, the data also provided a breakdown of national viewing times and a comparison of male and female thematic preferences.
At 11 minutes and 04 seconds, Australian women’s porn habits ranked in the top five of countries with the longest female site visit times, along with the Philippines, United States, South Africa and New Zealand.
The shortest visit time was taken out by Ukraine, who get on, get off and get out at a speedy 6 minutes and 45 seconds.
When compared to male viewers, the preferential differences were staggering.
Globally, the top three porn interests of women were lesbian, gay male and teen, whereas males were found to be watching teen, MILF and mature porn more than anything else.
With many of us still not even sure if watching porn constitutes as cheating, the data proves itself to be as intriguing as it is enlightening.

I think it's quite telling that women enjoy so much lesbian porn - in an industry where most women are only there to please the men or exaggerate how amazing the male lover is with every move! It's obvious that women like to watch women being pleased for a change. Good on them.
