Aussie tradie drowns out abortion protesters with heavy metal music. Deserves infinite beers.

I hope things work out with my boyfriend, I really do.

It’s just that if they don’t, I’d quite like to marry the anonymous tradie who blasted heavy metal music over the taunts and prayers of abortion protesters lining the streets of a reproductive health clinic in Sydney’s Surry Hills.

The man – who is yet to come forward and claim the infinite free beers the Australian public is now offering him – was filmed by University of Sydney Women’s Officer Madeleine Ward over the weekend.

After telling the tradie she was there to escort patients safely into the clinic, the protesters began singing ‘Silent Night’, prompting the tradie to respond with some soothing music of his own.

“He was like ‘f**k that’, so he turned up the stereo in his car,” Ward told Junkee‘s Max Koslowski. “The protesters got a bit irate, and shouted through the barrier ‘turn it down’.”

Only, he didn’t. Mostly because he’s a bloody legend.

You can watch the video below…

The police were eventually called due to a protester’s noise complaint, and the tradie’s musical expression was sadly shut down, but that didn’t change the fact that A TOTAL HERO WAS BORN.

It was, perhaps, a last-ditch attempt from the protesters, who are reeling after the New South Wales parliament passed legislation that quarantines ‘safe access zones’ of 150 metres around reproductive health clinics. They have less than a month to express their grief over what random women they’ve never met do with their own bodies. What a shame.

Abortion is still illegal in the state. Unlawfully procuring an abortion in NSW is punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, although doctors can legally administer abortions if they are of the belief that continuing a pregnancy is a risk to a woman’s physical or mental health.

Can some one explain why do pro-life activists protest abortion clinics but not IVF clinics? There would be a far higher rate of embryo disposal at an IVF clinic. Why is abortion seen as killing babies but not disposing of embryos.
