EXCLUSIVE: The Young Mummy shares her intimate post-birth moments.

Sophie Cachia introduced the world to her newborn daughter Betty just before 11pm on Saturday evening.

With thousands of followers watching loyally on Snapchat to see her labour and eventually the arrival of her baby, the mum has now shared with Mamamia some exclusive post-birth moments.

Cachia, who has a prolific public profile as The Young Mummy, is known for her raw, gutsy and relatable perspective, especially when it comes to motherhood. But here, we see the 26-year-old overwhelmed with emotion, as she finally meets the baby she’s been eagerly awaiting for 40 weeks.

Cachia told followers on Sunday morning that she and Jaryd had been certain they were having a boy - even referring to their unborn child as Baby Hank - and were still convinced they'd had a boy when the newborn was placed on her chest.

"I quickly thought the umbilical cord was a penis," she wrote.

But the two are ecstatic to bring a girl into the world, with Cachia writing "Betty you have blown our minds!!!"

"It took me a few hours to grasp the concept of you because it was like I was looking straight down at Bobby all over again," the mum wrote, referring to her two-year-old son.

"You are your big brothers twin!!! Absolutely besotted by you darling girl."

During labour, Cachia assured followers she was never going through the pain of childbirth again.

"12 hours later and my epidural has kicked in," she wrote. "Praise the lord. Shutting up shop, no more kids ever again. Seriously."

But somehow we think those post-birth moments, when you're holding your newborn child in absolute disbelief, make it all worthwhile.
