There’s a new show coming into your lounge room that follows young couples as they navigate marriage.
Sounds simple enough, right?
But these couples have a twist. They appear straight, but the men in the marriages are gay. And because they’re Mormons, they’re not allowed to be.
American television network TLC has created the show, titled My Husband’s Not Gay, and it’s attracted much criticism.
The network infiltrated a Mormon community and carefully selected men who are identify as gay, then filmed them talking about how they must be with a woman because being gay is against their religion.

It's not exactly covering it up when they are disclosing such intimate and personal information for TV. While some of these men may be bisexual and some may be in what may eventually be soul destroying relationships, they aren't denying that they are attracted to other men. I do personally think the idea that living an 'alternative' life, by being with a woman is generally one that will bring you pain in the long term.
I don't know ... I think I would find this fascinating.
At the end of the day, no one is forcing them to participate on this show, and no one is forcing this man and woman into this relationship. I don't follow any set religion, but if they CHOOSE to sacrifice certain things about their lifestyles, for the sake of following their faith, whose business is it to say that they are wrong?
They aren't actually harming anyone else by CHOOSING to live this way.
Yes, he may not be living his "true self", but it's his choice to deny that part of himself if he CHOOSES to.
