When you suffer from anxiety – or any type of mental illness – it can be hard to explain to others exactly how you feel.
It’s not like a physical illness, where you can point at red and swollen limb, or hold people’s hands to your forehead to demonstrate a fever. Mental illness is different. The symptoms are real, but they only exist within you. And, if other people haven’t felt the same way, it’s hard to let them know how they make you feel.

but... You -CAN- just buy an umbrella...
That was a really bad analogy.
I tell people that I feel like I am being wrapped in glad wrap and it gets tighter and tighter and I find it hard to breathe and my heart is going so fast it feels like it will jump out of chest. People with axiety understand this and can relate to it and so can others
