The first trailer for the JonBenet Ramsey movie is here, and it's quite disturbing.

It has been 20 years since JonBenet Ramsey was murdered, but the unsolved case still captivates the public.

At least two documentaries have been released this past month and now Lifetime is going to put its own spin on the story with movie, Who Killed JonBenet?

The trailer for the film, which will air on the American cable channel in November, shows all the hallmarks of a Lifetime movie, including dramatic music.

The clip opens with a fictional JonBenet’s voiceover, setting what looks to be a haunting tone for the film.

“I was Little Miss Colorado. This Christmas I would be 26, but to everyone I’ll always be six.”

Fresh speculation as to who murdered the little girl has been mounting since CBS released their two-part series The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey - pointing to the beauty pageant queen's bother Burke Ramsey as the killer.

That documentary was followed by Discovery's JonBenet: An American Murder Mystery which looks into other suspects, such as the "Santa Claus suspect", Bill McReynolds, and the family's maid.

It's not clear which angle this new movie will take, but from the trailer it seems it will throw suspicion on JonBenet's parents.

"It was an accident and they staged it to look like a blown kidnapping," a detective is seen saying.

The trailer also shows the moment JonBenet's father, John, found his daughter's body in the basement, or possibly set her down there.
