Some very exciting news for Zara fans.

It’s been three years (wait, what?) since Zara opened its first Australian flagship store in Sydney. And now, the fashion chain has confirmed where their tenth Aussie store will be located.

Western Australians? We have some very good news.

Zara has announced they will open at Garden City in Booragoon, Perth as early as August. For anyone not on the west coast – Booragoon is approx. 15km from Perth’s CBD.

A second Perth store is also planned inPerth CBD’s Murray Street mall, next door to retail giants Topshop and Topman, which are expected to open by the end of the year.

Retail strategist Nerida Jenkins told The West Australian that the Perth fashion market was a “gold mine”.

“From both a national and international standpoint, Perth is a rich vein of gold for prospective retailers,” she said.

“The Perth retail market is small in size but the demand is there – it really punches above its weight in terms of retail spending and high-income levels.”

Not that exciting. Zara clothes are made from cheap fabric, the fit is horrible and we pay too much for them in Australia.

I'm inclined to agree. I went to the Melbourne store last time I was there to see what all the fuss is about and I have to say I wasn't impressed.

Well being that I am from Perth, this is rather old news, and I have been watching the construction of it's CBD store for sometime.

Poor Perth always get forgotten about!

The Booragoon store opening is new-ish news (it did break last week though.. bit slow off the mark Mamamia!) Very excited though because that's right near my house :) :)
But yeah the one in the city has been under construction since... last year?
