Woman 'sexually assaulted' during massage in Sydney's Bondi.

A man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman during massage appointments has been charged in Sydney’s east.

Police said the 38-year-old man is a doctor, but also practises as an osteopath.

A police statement said that the 23-year-old woman attended the clinic on two occasions in February and March this year and was allegedly sexually assaulted during her appointments.

Following investigations into the matter, eastern suburbs police arrested the man about 12: 25pm Wednesday at a clinic in Bondi Junction.

The man was charged with one count of sexual assault and two counts of indecent assault.

He was refused bail and will appear at Waverley Local Court today.

“Police always encourage any victim of sexual assault to come forward,” the statement said.

“Reports can be made at any police station.”

There is very little information in this article for anyone to be leaping to any conclusions yet. For example, perhaps she was convinced that she was over reacting and his actions were part of a normal exam in the first session, then it escalated. Who knows, but "Why did she go back" sounds a lot like "why didn't she leave him." We know that it's more complicated than that. Reserve your judgements and let the court decide.

Exactly! Why would you come back for a second consult if you felt uncomfortable??
From the information presented, it appears that the osteo conducted a pelvic floor examination which is not an uncommon osteopathic technique. However this is done with consent, and preferably with a family member present.
