Well, well, well.

The Bachelor Australia 2019 is done for another year and the producers went and messed with our hearts, didn’t they?

In an ending we’ve never seen before, no one knew who Matt Agnew was going to choose right until the very end.

Normally, the predictable order of events is the runner up gets out of the car first to the sound of sad violin music.

After first watching fan favourite Chelsie get out of the car (the order normally reserved for the loser), Abbie’s car also pulled up. Cue chaos. What the heck????

It was then we found out Matt’s heart belonged to chemical engineer Chelsie McLeod, not property analyst Abbie Chatfield.

Side note – check out the five most outrageous moments in Bachelor history below. Post continues after video.

Despite the first hour or so of the finale being fairly boring, Network 10 pulled out one of the most eventful finale cliffhangers we’ve ever watched. Aside from when Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins chose… no one.

From the final two meeting Matt’s friends to the final ‘I love you’, here’s how Australia reacted to The Bachelor Australia 2019 finale.

Matt flying to South Africa.

When Abbie and Kate had a ‘chat’.

When Chelsie met the friends.

Matt and Abbie’s final date.

Matt and Chelsie’s final date.

When Chelsie stepped out of the limo first.

When Abbie… also got out of the car and they cut to an ad break.

When we found out Matt didn’t choose Abbie.

When Matt told Chelsie he loves her.
