What is your most asked-for recipe?

I love having people over to my home. I love entertaining and feeding people.  In fact there’s nothing that gives me greater joy than watching people enjoying my food.  Okay other things give me greater joy like when they insist on cleaning up.  Or watching my child eat something green.

Although I have not yet worked out how to ensure my guests clean up I have found the secret to getting my child to actually ask for fresh green vegetables (okay – lettuce).  The secret lies in my salad dressing. It is not sugar free, it is not fat free but it is absolutely delicious.  It also lasts for ages in the fridge if there is any left over.

My salad dressing is also my “most asked for recipe”.  I make it often (actually always) and every single time someone new tastes it they ask for the recipe.  Every time.

And I always share it – think somebody asking me for a recipe is the highest compliment I could get.

So try it…

Lana’s Salad Dressing

2/3 cup oil

1/3 cup brown vinegar

1/3 cup soft brown sugar

5 tbs whole egg mayonnaise (use S&W please – they don’t use cage eggs)

5 cloves of crushed garlic

3 tsps mild English mustard

Shake t up with some salt and pepper.

Enjoy

Oh Lana, I just had to say that this salad dressing is AMAZING! I did think it might be too much garlic, but no, it was awesome. And I hope you don't mind but I'm linking this post to my blog tonight to rave about your dressing. And yes, you get all the credit!

Thanks so much for sharing. One very grateful reader right here!
