What did you do on the weekend?

Welcome to Monday.  For those of you who have no water cooler to gather around –  think of this as your space.  In fact even if you do have a water cooler but you just want to chat about your weekend, express your views, have a rant or a rave, hear how it went for the rest of the us…. this is your post

In  the news over the weekend Australian Greens leader Bob Brown announced that he wanted to overturn laws that prevent the ACT and Northern Territory from legislating on euthanasia. Pope Benedict XVI formally apologised to victims of sexual abuse suffered at the hands of the Catholic church. New Foreign Minister, Kevin Rudd wasted no time in his new appointment, travelling to Pakistan to visit Australian troops and to the US to meet with Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton.

What did you get up to on YOUR weekend? Was it a busy one or a quiet one? Do you have anything to share? An experience? An opinion?

Bob Brown calling for a national debate on euthanasia:

The Pope at Westminister Abbey in London:

Did you look in your wardrobe this morning and decide you had nothing to wear? Never fear, fashion designer Manel Torres has created clothes in a can. I sincerely hope no-one sprays on pants.

Went sightseeing in San Francisco with hubby, 2 kids (under 5!) and mother in law! Beautiful clam chowder in a sour dough bowl for lunch. Farmers market on Sunday at the Ferry building! Yay! Long time in the planning, but having a fabulous holiday!

My weekend was a bit meh.
My ex was due to have my kids for Fri and Sat night, I pick them up Sun arvo. He kept ringing me during the day Sat, hinting I should take them home, then rang and texted me during church on Sunday, demanding I HAD to come get them NOW because he was exhausted and just wanted some time to himself where no one was making demands on him. You mean like how it is for me every day buddy?

Apart from that, I watched a bunch of movies from the local video store. Under the Tuscan Sun (an old fav), Reality Bites, Dorian Grey, When in Rome and Kick-ass.

Reality Bites was ok (Ethan Hawke was nice to watch lol), When in Rome ok (I'm not a big romantic comedy fan but I wanted to see Kristen Bell aka Veronica Mars in her latest movie role), Dorian Grey was disappointing, and Kick-ass was the most enjoyable out of all of them.
