Cadbury is releasing Vegemite flavoured chocolate

Picture this in your mouth: The salty dense flavour of vegemite, mixed with the sweet warmth of cadbury chocolate.

Pass us the bucket so we can vomit, right? Well you better get used to it because for some obscure reason Cadbury has decided to make a Vegemite flavoured chocolate.

Yes vegemite. And chocolate. Sold as chocolate.

How disgusting. Or delicious. Depending on what floats your chocolate loving boat.

This afternoon Cadbury Australia announced on their Twitter that they were set to release the flavour in two months.

The video, which has caused a bit of a stir amongst Vegemite and Cadbury fans proclaimed: “Yes. It’s real. Yes. The rumours were true. Yes. It’s available on June 1st (although you may see it sooner). Yes. It’s surprisingly delicious.”

But unfortunatley, that is all that has been released. One thing's for sure - there may not be a lot of this:

It's the merging of two iconic brands. Vegemite launched in Melbourne in 1922, and British brand Cadbury launched in 1824.

Next thing you know Arnotts will be making VB flavoured Biscuits and Bundy Rum will be releasing iced vo-vo flavoured rum.

Oh, Australia.
