real life

You've never seen an engagement ring ad like this before.

They’ve been making the most iconic engagement rings in the world for ever. And now they’ve done something outside of the famous blue box.

Tiffany & Co have included a same sex couple in their most recent ad campaign. In fact the international jewellery company has used the same sex couple’s image as the headline for their ad series.

The campaign is called “Will You?” and includes seven images of couples in different stages of their relationship. The photos are taken by fashion photogapher Peter Lindbergh and are as stunning and romantic as you’d expect.

But this is the one that got our attention immediately.

The pair above, sitting on a stoop in New York City are a real-life couple, Tiffany spokeswoman Linda Buckley told CNN.

“Nowadays, the road to marriage is no longer linear,” she told CNN. “True love can happen more than once with love stories coming in a variety of forms.”

It is the first same sex ad the 178-year-old-jeweller has used. The image is accompanied by a quote that says, “Will you promise to never stop completing my sentences or singing off-key, which I’m afraid you do often? And will you let today be the first sentence of one long story that never, ever ends?”

The rest of the series covers couples in a variety of romantic settings – each are unique. You need to see the comparison.

There is also a couple on their wedding day with a child, to support the rising rate of mothers having children before they wed.

We love it,  Tiffany & Co. The jewellery giant best known for their blue boxes have taken a step…out of the box – to embrace diversity.

What other kind of couples and families would you like to see on these adverts?

its awesome, how about blended couples, middle aged starting over couples .......and seriously why do they all have to be insanely good looking?....beauty takes many forms and nothing is more beautiful than seeing a woman's face light up when she is presented with a Tiffany engagement ring and spending he rest of her life with the man of her dreams and the look on his face when she says yes. At doesn't matter what they look like...these pics look 2D....look like models whether they be real couples or not.....would like to see real people with real imperfections capturing a wonderful moment in time ......but a big plus for the gay couple its about time this was included advertisements...way to go Tiffany and Co

How about a black couple or interracial couple.
