We couldn’t help but smile when we saw this clip of a young girl in Brazil who sees her smile for the first time after facial reconstruction surgery to repair a cleft lip. The video is by Operation Smile, a charity that provides free surgeries to children born with facial deformities.

My 9 months old son has a Bilateral Cleft lip and palate and when we were diagnosed at 20weeks I found this video and have never smiled and cried so much! The look on her gorgeous face when she sees herself is overwhelmingly beautiful to see, so inspirational, I have watched it close to a hundred times and never tire of it.
