Open Post: We have some exciting news...

Hey there MMers, it’s been a long time between drinks since I hosted Open Post but that’s not because I don’t love you (I do! I do!), I’ve been busy working on a secret squirrel side project. And today, I can finally share the news with you.

Drumroll please…

Consider this a birth announcement, because Mamamia (not me, sorry Mum) has had a digital baby, and it’s…a girl!

I’d like to introduce you to The Glow, the Mamamia Network’s NEW health and beauty website. It’s 10-minute workouts, it’s hair tutorials that you can actually do yourself, it’s…ok, just GO CHECK IT OUT RIGHT NOW.

We (Mia, Jamila, editor Alyx Gorman, writer Kahla Preston and I) have been beavering away for months to make it a site that’s right for you. Whether you’re a uni student, a new mum, an exercise junkie, or just trying to get through life with a decent mascara and okay skin: The Glow is your beauty and health safe place.

We won’t judge you if you don’t guzzle green smoothies or can’t touch your toes, we’re about making your life shinier and healthier – because you want to, not because we think you should. We won’t talk down to you or insult your intelligence, because in the end, we’re all just trying to figure out this womanhood gig – so we may as well do it together.

Up on the site now is my Two-Minute Hair Tutorial for Dirty Hair – because I can’t be the only one who thinks it’s too cold to wash hair right now.

And Mia Freedman (you may have heard of her?) has cut all her hair off for the occasion. You can read about it here.

Here are a few of my favourite posts we’ve published on The Glow, should you erm, want to check them out *cough*.

I’d love your feedback on The Glow, let me know your thoughts in the comments below. And that’s me finally done. Over to you now, what’s happening in your world?

Like the look of 'The Glow' but would love to see a Q&A section.
I'm desperately seeking full coverage foundation that doesn't cost over $50. I have freckles - which I hate - and want them totally covered up without looking like a 'cake face' (as my son calls it). Does anyone have any ideas?

My parents are over from SA and staying with me. They are helping out with the kids during the school holidays. It sucks so much going to work at the moment when everyone else gets to stay home, especially in the mornings when it's cold! I'm jealous :)

My housemate hurt her coccyx bone falling off a horse on Sunday and hasn't

been at work all week (we also work together). I'm SO jealous! Haha not of the pain though. Hope you get to have some (warm) fun at the weekend!
