Long sleeves and high necklines. Say hello to the summer dresses you won't want to take off.

We all know summer is coming, which means it’s time to pack away your winter coats in favour of light, breezy outfits.

But summer fashion quite often also means… less material. I’m talking dainty spaghetti straps, off the shoulder numbers and so many things you need a strapless bra for. Ugh.

But what about if you want to keep cool, but still stay a bit more covered up? Stylish, but sun-safe?

Good news: Marks & Spencer Australia have us 100 per cent covered.

Literally. Your arms and neck and a decent amount of your legs will be covered by these gorgeous dresses.

Right now, Marks & Spencer Australia have a number of lovely long sleeve dresses with higher necklines and floaty silhouettes.

According to Paige Griffith-Carmichael, Marketing Manager for Marks & Spencer, this is because the British retailer has been listening to what its customers want from new season styles.

“Feedback from our customers has been that they like a more relaxed fit, stylish yet comfortable pieces that can take them through the day with ease. Many of our new dresses have a very contemporary relaxed fit, with the longed sleeve silhouette and demure midi length to ensure she looks and feels great,” Griffith-Carmichael told Mamamia.

But the stand out from their new season pieces has to be the Satin Snakeskin Print Waisted Midi Dress, $149.

This blue and silver snakeskin midi dress ticks all the boxes necessary to hit 'Add to Cart'. The design features a pleated skirt cut at a midi length with waisted shape for a flattering fit, a high neckline with a stylish scarf tie fastening to the back and button-up cuffs.

As Sydney stylist and Trash To Treasured influencer Tina Abeysekara said, it also feels a bit 70s. Very 'groovy baby', if you will.

She told Mamamia, "The prints and details in this current season are very 70s inspired without being too over the top. Easy elegance with a pop of fun."

"I love that with a printed midi dress the look is ready to go. Long sleeves can be cuffed for warmer weather, while the hemline make it office appropriate."

Better yet, the print is bright and bold, but not so bright you can't make it look corporate for the office. Pair it with sandals or sneakers for a brunching, weekend market-strolling look (or work if the dress code is casual) and chuck on heels to transition to night time.

The range also includes a bunch of modern floral prints (pun-intended) and lots of spicy 70s mustards. While the shape of the dresses vary from ruched waists and cinched shirt dresses to more boho, relaxed fits, they all have billowy long sleeves and a higher neckline.

There are also buttons for breastfeeding mums who need easy boob access, hurrah!
