Chemical-free beauty products do not exist. EVERYTHING IS A CHEMICAL! We need to stop talking about chemicals as if they are always dangerous or undesired. Antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, active ingredients in superfoods, water...all these things we consider to be healthy, and they are all CHEMICALS. "Fear of the name increases fear of the thing itself." The media needs to be responsible and stop causing people to fear science.

As a scientist (but not a chemist), I don't really think it's constructive to compare petrochemical use with antioxidants and water (using your examples). The amount of cheap toxic ingredients used in beauty products is quiet horrifying with still unknown long-term effects.

I try! A greater public awareness of the awesomeness of Harry Potter is also a worthy aim!
