Serena Williams Wants You To Touch Yourself.

Serena Williams is one of the greatest athletes of all time. But in the 48 hours before Mia was due to sit down with her, the US Open happened, and Serena Williams was all over the news for all the wrong reasons.

So we waited for her to cancel. But she didn’t. Instead, Serena Williams did what working women and working mothers do, she got on with it. She sucked up her personal feelings and met her commitments.

In this very candid conversation with Mia, Serena talks about the first thing she did when she got off the court at the US Open, her involvement in the new Berlei breast cancer campaign – and the fact that she sings – and life with her one-year-old daughter, Olympia.

Let's face it, the journalist was probably not super-enthused about having to be up at 11:30pm asking inane questions to try and provoke a copyable quote for the masses. But, the journalist's job is to ask the questions and her job is to answer them - it's why they get paid the big bucks (well Serena anyway)!

If he asked relevant questions maybe say about TENNIS.....why should she have to answer "why aren't you smiling"??

He asked why she did not seem elated with the win - he gave two theories (it was her sister that she defeated or that she was focussed on winning the next match) and it turns out it was something else - she was simply too tired. Sports journalists are constantly on the lookout to see if the fire for success is on the wane in an athlete - turns out he was on to something as she lost her next match in an upset.

More people should handle reporters like this. Perhaps they would all learn to be less rude.
