If you watch one viral video today make it this one. Extraordinary.

It happened off the coast of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. A pod of around 30 dolphins were frolicking in the waves when they suddenly beached themselves in the shallows.

What happened next seriously shows how awesome people can be.

(If you’re impatient, skip to the 30 second mark)

Okay, hope I don't sound 'sexist' or something by posting this. This was an amazing video, but what disturbed me the most was all the women standing back and watching, not helping, 'letting the men do the work'. I mean, COME ON! As a gay woman, I've noticed this 'phenomenon' all too often. 'Oh, that's a man's job...", "Oh, I'm not strong enough..."....

I mean seriously, if I were there, I'd be out there pulling my weight, not standing on the sidelines watching like all of these women did... Just think - if these women did help those dolphins would've been back out to sea a lot faster.... This video for me was a happy one for the dolphins, a proud one for the guys (of all ages) helping them, but a sad, disappointing one for women.

Now start taking the bin out, ladies, and learn to change the washers in your taps.

A lovely video to watch, thank you!

I am really bothered by the comments below regarding people standing by and not helping. As Marine Biologist pointed out, dolphins are heavy and strong! I would never judge the onlookers for not helping, what a situation to find yourself in. Why cant we focus on the positive of this video?

I am a reasonably strong female but I would have stood back, I would be worried about hurting myself and / or the dolphin. I would stay to watch in case I could help in some way but I would never go running in to drag the dolphins!

A lovely video, such a shame people here are so quick to judge.

But there were MANY women standing by. Don't ever use 'not strong enough' as an excuse - that's a copout. Why couldn't two or three of the women grabbed a dolphin? Seriously, women want to be treated equally, but they're happy to stand by and not pull their weight. (Yes, I'm a woman)
