Sarah Jessica Parker has redefined ‘takedown’ after an offensive tweet was sent her way by Twitter user (and self-described “relationship expert”) Sarah J. Symonds.
The tweet in question was deleted immediately after the Sex and the City star began to draw attention to it. However, celebrity news website Perez Hilton is reporting that Symonds had said that 49-year-old Parker’s twin girls – who were carried by a surrogate – didn’t look like her.
She won’t do that again.

SJP is relatively new to the Twitter scene, having only signed up to the social networking site last November. However, this incident has proven that she is more than adept at managing the site’s trolls.
If this story has taught us one thing, it is this: if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
Oh, and: don’t cross Sarah Jessica Parker on Twitter.

Good for her, but one thing I feel is a bit sad is that all these celebs feel compelled to join twitter, I know some do it to promote themselves but I think the A listers often only do it so they can defend themselves against the horrible tweets about them, but I think it would be really great if instead they didn't join, so don't give the bullies satisfaction, and keep their dignity by maintaining silence. But by joining they are almost validating the existence of these stupid tweets (and twitter)
I agree - I always sigh when someone I admire joins twitter. In a strange way I lose a bit of respect or admiration or something for them. I wonder why they don't just enjoy their privacy, why the need to join the vanity broadcast. The only thing I can think of in their favour is that maybe they want to control the information rather than have the gossip written about them. But then as soon as you do, as you say, it's so undignified.
A quick Google appears to reveal that Sarah J. Symonds is Gordon Ramsay's former mistress (who is still profiting from that five minutes of fame). She sounds like a pretty unpleasant person...
