Celeb in 5: Sunday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. Excuse us, but there are lots of clues Sam Wood will be on the next season of The Block.

Don't mind us, but we would like to draw your attention to the fact SAM WOOD might actually be making a comeback to reality TV. This time, however, it's rumoured he may actually be appearing on The Block.

Just last week, Woman's Day reported 37-year-old Wood was “spotted shooting an audition tape” with friend Paul Lange.

It's also been rumoured that the former Bachelor has been spotted around the Fitroy St building site in recent months.

But if you thought that evidence was tenuous, well, we obviously have more.

This morning, Sam and Snez were spotted out for brunch with last year's winners Josh and Elyse. Obviously, they were being coached on how to win. Obviously.

Still reckon it's tenuous? We don't. Watch this space.

2. Apparently two contestants from My Kitchen Rules have been axed mid-season.

Oh… so this just happened.

Apparently two female contestants on My Kitchen Rules have been kicked off the show mid-season for “inappropriate conduct”.

Yep, it must be bad considering some of the shockers we’ve seen in previous seasons.

An ‘insider’ told the Daily Telegraph the two teams had a physical scuffle inside a Launceston hotel because one team believed they overheard the other team making rude comments about them when they walked past their room.

It kind of sounds like a school excursion, right?

“Meetings were held almost immediately in Tasmania and again once the cast and crew returned to Sydney,” the ‘insider’ said.

The network decided that female team’s behaviour was “well beyond the limits of what is deemed acceptable” and that team was sent home.

The team will still appear in the show up until the point they unceremoniously booted off and the other seven teams, including the other pair involved in the scuffle, will remain in the show.

3. Rebel Wilson just shared a very familiar throwback photo.

This is super cute.

Rebel Wilson has once again reminded us that she’s just like the rest of us by sharing a very familiar photo on Instagram.

It’s a snap of her kindergarten school photo from Castle Hill Public School in 1985.

“Who would’ve thought these Kindergarten kids would grow up to be so successful! Thanks to the genius @farkas for sending this cute pic of us. I’m 3rd row, 3rd from the left with the pigtails (naturally). Loved going to Castle Hill Public School in Sydney! Fantastic teachers and kids x,” she captioned the photo.

It’s probably the most 80s thing we’ve seen all week.

Wilson is wearing piggy tails and smiling awkwardly in the third row.

Oh we’ve all been there, Rebel.

4. The star of Netflix show, The Crown, feels “sorry” for Meghan Markle.

As the entire world/universe/galaxy is aware by now, Meghan Markle will soon become a royal upon her marriage to Prince Harry. Her life sounds pretty darn sweet, right? Most of us are insanely jealous of her selfless humanitarianism, acting ability, luscious locks, and future husband, right?

Well, apparently not. Onscreen royal Matt Smith, who plays Prince Philip on the popular Netflix show, The Crown, has expressed his surprising sympathy for the future royal.

At a recent Vanity Fair event for the release of the second season of The Crown, Matt responded to a question about the recent engagement news with this response:

“I feel sorry for her. It’s such a transition in her life, and it’s such a huge thing to take on. Life as she knows it is gone. But hey, she’s marrying the prince of Britain—how exciting for her.”

Wow. We hadn’t thought of it like that before.

The Crown co-star Claire Foy on the other hand, articulated words of support for Meghan in the same interview, saying:

“She’s an actress, so there’s hope for all.”

5. The Bachelorette’s Jarrod wants to become a marriage celebrant. We're not sure his heart can handle it.

Jarrod, Jarrod, Jarrod... you must have your heart protected.

After having his heart crushed by Sophie Monk on The Bachelorette, Jarrod Woodgate has now revealed to The Daily Telegraph that he wants be become a marriage celebrant so that he can marry people on his Gippsland winery in Victoria.

Jarrod told the publication: “Business has picked up dramatically after the show with the combination of weddings to the point where I want to get a celebrant’s licence.”

Although a fine aspiration, we think Jarrod needs to stay away from other people's love for just a little while... at least until his pot plant is well and truly dead.

But in all honesty, if Jarrod can contain his inundated emotions, the job is rather fitting for someone with so much love to give.

Who knows, maybe he’ll be the celebrant at his own wedding after finding love on Bachelor in Paradise. Only time will tell, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for Jarrod’s sake.
