Sam Frost just confessed to a beauty treatment many of us are too terrified to get.

This morning, Sam Frost managed to go from talking about Kris Kringle presents all the way to revealing she doesn’t have any pubic hair in less than 10 seconds.

Don’t believe me?  Let me take you through how the whole conversation (read: three lines) went down.

“I never really nailed Kris Kringle because, to be honest, I always forget until the last minute,” she said told Rove McManus on their 2Day FM radio show Rove and Sam.

“I rummaged up a used tealight and a bar of soap,” Sam said.

Rove then joked that if she was gifting a random bar of soap, it’s not outside the realm of possibility for a rogue hair to have been left on the soap.

“I don’t have pubes. I laser,” she laughed.

So, that was that, with very little build up and context. But we’re pretty stoked she talked about lady pubes on radio. Next to follow #FreeTheNipple will clearly be #FreeThePubes.

Laser hair removal isn’t without its legions of fans, as women grapple with the idea that pubic hair may be something they are willing to part with permanently.

But while some are fine with it, others are horrified by the permanence of the treatment.

And some are totally terrified by the thought of a laser being so intimately firing at such a delicate space.

Also, it can hurt. A lot.

So how does it work? And what is this sorcery Frost speaks of?

The permanency of laser hair removal is the key to its popularity. And experts assure us the lasers are safe.

As described by Laser Clinics Australia, it’s “a fast, gentle and effective way to remove unwanted hair with permanent results.”

“Designed with sensitive skin in mind, these lasers are safe enough to be used on any part of the body and target different skin types whilst ensuring maximum results.  All of our lasers feature a unique dynamic cooling device that helps to calm, soothe and protect the skin.”

In more scientific terms that I don’t understand as well as I should?

“The laser works by directing concentrated light into the hair follicle inhibiting the hair’s ability to grow without disrupting or damaging the skin’s surface. Our lasers use a wide beam which allows the removal of multiple hair follicles at the same time.”

Only those who are committed to the cause need test it out, with Laser Clinic Australia suggesting it will take between 6-10 sessions to be totally effective.

I've had 4 sessions done so far and only have a few stray hairs left. Working so well for me. It's not that bad. It does hurt in that area of course but only for a second. It's surprising quick.

Oh yeah it hurts like HELL but be prepared to have more than 6-10 sessions. After 6 I had a really good hair reduction and now after 11 all that's left is a scattering of soft fine hairs which is a complete change from the wiry coarse forest that was there before but I would still need an extra 3-4 sessions to have total hair removal. Same for my legs. And being extremely pale with black, coarse hair I was actually a perfect candidate for laser. So definitely plan for more than 12 when adding up the cost. 100% worth it though.

Oh it probably doesn't I just have a low pain threshold lol. Plus I got full body so I'd be lying there half naked for an hour and a half getting little painful zaps all over. Soooo glad that's over now
