Sam Armytage seems to have spend her every waking hour fending off reports that she’s got major issues, particularly with other women.
The latest? That she is insanely jealous of Jesinta Campbell, and that’s why she and her agent Sharon Finnigan parted ways last week.
In a statement to the Sydney Morning Herald, Armytage simply said, “None of it is true.”
The Daily Telegraph reported that Armytage was unhappy with Campbell being the “alpha female” among Finnigan’s stable of talent, which also includes Nine newsreader Deb Knight, Armytage’s colleague at Sunrise Natalie Barr, and former Miss Universe Australia Campbell.
Just last month, Campbell, 23, who works for rival morning show Today, gushed about how much she admires Armytage and the close friendship they share.
“We just live around the corner from her and we’re great friends with Sam,” Campbell told the Herald Sun.
“She’s an unbelievable woman and someone who has been a bit of a mentor for me as well. She’s a really strong woman…”

“I’ve been in this business for 30 years now and I can say, hand on heart, Sam’s one of the good ones. I don’t know where this stuff is coming from, Sam is one of the greatest girls,” Morning Show host Larry Emdur said in an interview on Sydney’s Triple M.
“I would never name names or tell stories but there are people there much worse and behave much worse. Sam’s one of the good ones. We launched the Saturday Weekend Sunrise together, I’ve spent a lot of time with Sam socially and professionally and she is a great girl.”
