Robbie Williams just live tweeted his wife's birth.

How would you feel about your birth being documented, push-by-push, on Twitter?

And Instagram? Oh, and YouTube?

If you’re Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda, you’re probably pretty fine with it. Because Robbie is all about Entertaining You.

But when the MM Team were watching these videos in our morning meeting (yes, working here is as terrible as it sounds), the group were split into two camps.

Camp one: If my other half pulled out the phone when I was in labour, I would have ripped his arm off with my teeth.

Camp two: That’s fricking adorable.

Team Adorable won the morning, as we decided that Robbie and Ayda’s home videos were the exact opposite of the air-brushed,  post-birth pics we often to seeing from celebrities.

They’re real. They’re joyful. They’re knackered.

They show the excitement, the pain, the boredom, and…. the shoes.

Yes, Ayda does have the most kick-arse hospital wear we’ve ever seen – Louboutins, anyone?

And the baby – Ayda eventually gave birth to a boy, a brother for their daughter Teddy, who’s two.

“Erm, so, he’s here. It’s ten past three on what day? Monday? And we’ve been up way over 24 hours. I’ve never been more in love and I’ve never been more proud of my wife, she’s been absolutely astonishing,” Robbie says in his final video. .

“Er baby bud isn’t having a name yet, we’re still figuring it out. He’s 8lb1oz.”

Lots of show-tune-tinged congratulations, Robbie and Ayda.

Here’s how it went down:

Robbie, helping.

I know you’re really concerned and worried about what’s going on but Robbie needs you to know that he’s doing great.

Really. It’s ok. He’s totally got this.

In case you forgot, here’s another time when Robbie was doing it for the kids.

More Robbie Williams for your viewing pleasure…
