FLUFF: Ricki-Lee poses nude for Sunday Style. Feels "extremely liberating"

Former Australian Idol contestant Ricki-Lee Coulter has chosen to reveal A LOT about herself in this weekend’s Sunday Style magazine. Including her behind.

Yep, 28-year-old Ricki-Lee has done her first ever nude shot exclusively for News Corp.

And has described it as “extremely liberating”. The tasteful shot aims to recreate one of Helmut Newtown’s iconic images, and we’re guessing they hit the nail on the head. Speaking to news.com.au about her first nude shoot Coulter said: “When the team initially put the idea forward my first reaction was ‘WHOA!’” “But when I saw that we would be recreating the iconic fashion photographer Helmut Newton’s images, I was really excited.” One things for certain, we hope they had the heating on that day. The talented Aussie singer also opened up about a lot of other issues in the interview, including not wanting to have kids with her finance Rich Harrison.

On not wanting kids

“Rich and I both know it’s not really something we want. True, in the past I said I’d never get married, so who knows what’s gonna happen? My mum ended up having a kid at 43, so you never know how life will change you, but right now it’s not something we see for ourselves.”

On body image

“Women will always have a love-hate relationship with their bodies … it’s just human nature … but happiness is the most beautiful thing in the world and it works wonders! When somebody is full of life and laughter and has a great energy — that is so attractive!”

On scrutiny from the media

“People don’t have that filter with people in the public eye, because they feel like, ‘Well, you’ve put yourself out there, we have a right to.’ Of course, have your opinion, but if you wouldn’t say it to your mum or your sister or your best friend, then don’t write it.”

On her body

“I’m extremely comfortable in my skin, I always have been — no matter what size I’ve been. And I’ve always tried to project that to other women. Being comfortable in your skin isn’t about being perfect, because nobody’s perfect!”

Ho hum… another nudie shoot. Why? Because… that's what we women feel we need do to somehow "validate" ourselves and our achievements - get the kit off in public. I can't wait for Ian Thorpe or Cadel Evans to strip for the cameras to empower themselves, can you? What tripe.

I remember watching little Nikki Webster flying about the air singing during the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympics and saying to my husband "I wonder how long before she is taking her clobber off for the camera". Mr D told me off for being so cynical and jaded. It seems to me that so many young women celebrities treat the centrefold offer as some sort of right of passage into adulthood and I was simply forecasting what I thought would happen. And as usual Mr D (geez you think he'd know by now) I was right.

She is awesome! Mature, confident, ever-growing and changing... and she loves herself. Something not many truly know how to do at 28.
