Famous blogger dies in 'freak accident' involving whipped cream dispenser.

French lifestyle blogger, Rebecca Burger has died in a freak accident after using a whipped cream dispenser.

The 32-year-old, who had over 150,000 followers on Instagram and was a popular YouTuber, reportedly went into cardiac arrest after the whipped cream canister exploded and struck her thorax.

Rebecca's grieving family broke the tragic news in a post to the blogger's Instagram account.

"It is with great sadness we announce the death of Rebecca who died on June 18th, 2017 in an accident in the home," the post read.

Her family issued a heartbreaking warning about the dangers of using the faulty piece of kitchen equipment that took Rebecca's life.

"Here is an example of a chantilly siphon that exploded and struck Rebecca's thorax, resulting in her death," the image of the whipped cream dispenser was captioned.

"Do not use this kind of utensil in your home! Several tens of thousands of defective devices are still in circulation."

There are reports a French consumer group had warned people of faulty dispensers that can break at an immense velocity prior to Rebecca's death.

The only way this could happen is through abusing the equipment. People in the know use these canisters to get high. It is called doing "whippits" and once the dispenser device pierces the gas canister they quickly try to suck the gas out, the gas used in them is the "laughing gas" dentists used to use. It's a very cheap and very dangerous way to get high using readily available equipment. Kids do it mostly because they can get the stuff legally. I've often seen discarded empty canisters at bus stops and on the footpath. People buy them in bulk online and party all night on them. It is a very short lived high. The safest way to do it is to use a balloon to collect the gas and then suck the gas out of the balloon. I'm surprised they haven't been banned ages ago, to be honest.
