Ahh, what could be more relaxing than having a snake give you a massage?

You read that right. Pythons in Indonesia are part of a spa experience we're not so sure we'd be up for trying.

It's hard to say what makes a spa day so calming. Is it the catatonic state you enter during a foot rub? Maybe the zesty sea-algae-infused facial moisturiser opening all your pores? How about the five-foot python the masseuse lays on your back to terrify you into relaxing?

The Bali Heritage Reflexology and Spa is doing just that, using pythons during their $47 massage sessions with the claim that the snakes' movement on a client's skin, combined with the adrenaline that comes from being in close contact with a serpent, has a positive effect on the human metabolism. The pythons are not venomous, and the masseuse stands by the table so that you're not left alone with a python on your back. The snakes are also fed 30 minutes before working their massage magic on your body.

But, sorry, the whole 'python massage' experience seems utterly frightening. As for us, we'll stick to hands and massage oil, thanks.
