The final show is said to contain elements that will surprise even Oprah!

I'm sorry I've never understood the appeal of this show. Really I don't care if it goes or not. However I've never forgiven her for unleashing that patronising idiot Dr Phil onto the world, his "advice" does more damage than good, not to mention his habit of talking down to people.

I couldn't agree more with you re: Dr Phil. He's so dangerous. Sometimes he actually seems to know what he's talking about and then he backs off to continue pandering to his audience. This is never, ever a good thing and he is not a therapists bootlace.
At least Oprah only ever portrayed herself as a social commentator. I used to love when she had "experts" on and she would admit her ignorance. That was kinda cute.
I like Dr Phil too. I don't think he's patronising at all. He only speaks to people like they're idiots when they actually ARE idiots! I like him because he's pretty straight down the line with the people who go on his show and carry on with new age namby pamby crap tiptoeing around stuff. And he always talks about how people will have follow up care and does heaps of follow up shows as well.
Oddly, I quite like Oprah when I've seen her in interviews WITH her, but can very easily take or leave the show, she just seems to make it all about her rather than whoever she's talking to. Strange contradiction, I know!
